Annari van Jaarsveld did her B.Mus at the North-West University in Potchefstroom, receiving her vocal training from renown Prof. Werner Nel. After that she received a bursary to do her masters degree in Oslo, Norway, under Prof. Svein Bjørkøy. During her study periods she received master classes from internationally acclaimed musicians, including Kobie van Rensburg, Erica Eloff, Mona Julsrud, Håkan Hagegård, Randi Stene, the world-famous accompanist, Malcolm Martineau and conductors, Romolo Gessi, Benton Hess, Kåre Hanken and Naomi Faran. She has also appeared in many productions, including The Messiah, Acis and Galatea and the Chandos Anthems by G.F. Handel, Die Weihnachts Oratorio by J.S. Bach, the Stabat Mater by G. Rossini, Madrigali guerrieri et amorosi by C. Monteverdi and Trois petites liturgies de la présence divine by O. Messiaen. Her master thesis was on the popular opera subject, Armida, out of La Gerusalemme liberata by the Renaissance poet, Torquato Tasso.
